#BookThought The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

About The Book

The Alchemist depicts the journey of a shepherd boy, Santiago. He desires to #travel in search of a worldly treasure. His quest will lead him to riches far different—and far more satisfying—than he ever imagined.

Santiago's journey teaches us about the essential wisdom of listening to our hearts, of recognizing opportunity and learning to read the omens strewn along life's path, and, most importantly, to follow our dreams.

My Thoughts

For some strange reason, I didn’t like the book at all. I read it three times, just to make sure my disliking is validated. There is something about the book which just makes me so uncomfortable.

The book perches love at first sight, which I personally don’t believe at all, I don’t believe in destiny, at least not to the extent the book put forward.

Overall, this is not my type of book.
