K.L. has been intrigued by the theme of Dominance and submission since she read The Story of O by Pauline Réage at the tender age of sixteen. When considering a genre for her first novel, it wasn’t a difficult choice. She recalled her visceral reaction to the book and her decision was made.
Mastered’s seeds were planted a long time ago.
At age fourteen, K.L. left home and country to train for the Olympics at the National Academy of Artistic Gymnastics in Eugene, Oregon. From her unique perspective, she covered the 2012 US election from start to finish. Often, her hard-hitting articles garnered this Canadian writer hundreds of responses.
She has won numerous awards for her writing on Viewshound, U.K. and is a member of the Manitoba Writers’ Guild.
